Pumpkin Dumpling

I found a very nice vegetable store in my neighborhood. It sells various vegetables of the season at VERY reasonable price. I've been enjoying shopping there every Saturday recently. Last Saturday, I got celery, shiitake mushrooms, sweet potatoes, bent cucumbers (which you wouldn't see at usual stores) and pumpkin. I usually steam pumpkins, so I did the same for the pumpkin I got at the store and you know what? I found the pumpkin was not sweet at all. But a problem is a chance, isn't it? I googled a recipe to eat non-sweet pumpkin tastily and found one. Mash steamed pumpkin; mix with katakuriko (potato starch); make dumplings; and deep-fry them!! I'll have them with kinako (roasted bean flour) and honey after dinner today!!

By the way, the store is in Central Tokyo and cash only but I still love the store!
